Haringey Health Champions Project
RWCA is delighted to share that we have been selected to take part in the Haringey Health Champions Programme, delivered in partnership with Haringey Council, to support Turkish and Kurdish-speaking communities across Haringey.
As a trusted community organisation deeply connected with local residents, RWCA will help ensure that Turkish and Kurdish-speaking communities have improved access to reliable, up-to-date, and culturally appropriate health information and support.
Through the programme, Health Champions work closely with communities to raise awareness and share important information on a range of health and wellbeing topics including vaccinations, cancer screening services, healthy lifestyles, physical activity, stopping smoking, and access to local health services.
This initiative will also help strengthen connections between our community, healthcare services, and local public health teams, ensuring individuals feel more informed, supported, and empowered to make positive decisions about their wellbeing.
We are proud to represent our community within this important programme and look forward to sharing updates as the project develops.
